Privacy & Confidentiality
Your story is yours. We treat your information with care, respect, and discretion.
Plain-language overview
This page explains, in clear terms, how Transcend Pathways currently approaches privacy, confidentiality, and data handling. As the program grows, this page may be updated or expanded into a full legal policy.
Transcend is designed to be as discrete and respectful as possible. Many members are not out in every area of life, so we pay attention to how we handle names, email, and scheduling.
What we collect (for now)
- Basic contact information (such as name or alias and email address)
- Information you choose to share about your gender journey and goals
- Scheduling and session history (for logistics, not surveillance)
We do not currently store payment information directly on this site. If we use third-party payment processors in the future, we will clearly state that and link to their privacy policies.
How we use your information
- To contact you about membership, mentoring, and scheduling
- To match members with mentors in a thoughtful, human-centered way
- To improve the program based on anonymous or de-identified feedback
We do not sell your information. We do not share your information for advertising.
Confidentiality & limits
Mentors and program staff agree to keep what you share private, within clearly defined limits. Those limits will be shared with you in writing before you begin mentoring.
Examples of limits to confidentiality can include:
- If someone is in immediate danger or at risk of serious harm
- If we are legally required to report certain information
- If you explicitly ask us to share information with someone else (with your written consent)
Email & digital communication
- We aim to keep email subject lines and calendar invites neutral when requested.
- You can tell us what name and pronouns to use in email.
- If you share an email account with others, let us know what is and isn’t safe to put in writing.
No digital platform is perfectly secure, but we strive to choose tools that offer strong protections and to use them thoughtfully.
Your choices & questions
You can request that we update or remove your contact information from our active records, subject to any legal or financial record-keeping requirements we must follow.
If you have questions about how your information is handled, you can reach out anytime at info@transcendpathways.com.
This page is not legal advice and does not replace a formal privacy policy. As we grow, we plan to work with professionals to ensure our policies remain aligned with best practices and applicable laws.
